variable on 0calmonth

hi,

we created a variable on 0calmonth characterstic with process type manual type. if user enters april as input selection it is displaying values for april 2014 data. now, enduser wants to see both april 2014 & 2013 data as well if he enters april as input selection. how to achieve it?
